Does anyone else suspect as I do that it was the INS polygraph examiner/"agent" that signaled the old man to pull over into the parking lot and not the other way around?

Wonder will not make it to trial. Being a dialysis patient, with all of the complications that comes along with that, health issues will take him out. First of all, he will not have bail. Secondly, he will not get the medicines he would have on the outside. So, in just a matter of months he'll be out of here. He's gonna die. He's probably been on dialysis for several years. He probably lost his kidneys in his mid to late forties. He was miserable and and took his misery out on this man. That's sad. Once a young buck got pissied off with me and went for his pistol in his glove compartment, I shouted. "Hey man, I've got my daughter with me!"

"You better act like it!" He replied to me. At least he was sensible enough to honor that! Since that day, I try hard not to be a part of such behavior. If someone wants to take a spot from me, they can have it. My daughter was about the same age.

Though Pettit was on duty, he was unarmed. He left his gun inside his car with his 12-year-old daughter.
On duty but driving around with his daughter, armed and road raging.

Who is the victim here?

Im glad this stupid crazy old man is behind bars, Now, a plea for ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES:
PLEASE!!!, use the very same agressive hunt for cases where non law enforcement individuals are killed all over the state, is very sad to see how intense is the hunt for cop killers and how slow and burocratic is the search when average non officers law abiding regular citizens are involved. I am not happy seen this police speaker on TV claiming that they resolve the case in a few hours.... How about unresolved cab drivers, 7/11 cashiers, ice cream vendors killed cases stored forever? What? are they NOT humans deserving justice? or we are just SECOND CLASS CITIZENS? POLICE OFFICERS ARE FIRST CLASS CITIZENS? IM BEGGING FOR A REASONABLE ANSWER!!!!!

Within a half hour after posting the last message I learned that Wonder was taken to the hospital. This is a first class tragedy that only I could write (I'm Shakespeare). Wonder has sent in motion a series of cataclysmic events that will end in his demise. The stress of what he will now encounter is enough to kill a strong man, least alone a weak one! It is difficult to survive on the outside with kidney failure. In jail, that's a rough one! Sixty-five; the bet is he won't make sixty-seven!

Of course anyone that shoots someone else is a low life scum. He should be punished.

BUT, what the hell did a cop on duty have his daughter in the car for? But, more importantly anyone who participates in a road rage argument and pulls off the road to "settle it", and has their child in the car, is a god-damn idiot. An ego-maniac who puts his stupid little ego in front of his own daughter's safety.

He was putting his child in danger just for the purpose of "being right" in a traffic argument. Plus, as a poster above noted, it is all the more likely that Mr. hot-shot dead cop bullied this idiot off the road and into the parking lot to "teach him a lesson." Well, old dead cop, you taught your daughter your last lesson, "You had a dumb, bully cop for a father.

So far everyone has posted valid points. Two families are destroyed. Pettit should have not gotten out of his car to confront the old guy having his own daughter with him, but he did not merit getting shot in the head for that. As far as Wonder is concenred, yes his days are probably numbered. People on dialysis feel extremely sick, exhausted and depressed. It is horrible life to live (hooked up to a machine 4 hours a day, 3 days a week) and unless you are lucky to get a donor within the first year, other problems develop. I'm glad he was caught for justice has to be served, but it would be nice to see the same diligence when non-law enforcement people are slain.
