The Boy Scouts of America is one of the few decent organizations left in this country. The Fairmont park commission is nothing but scum. Street will pander to the queer society as democrats do for a few votes.

I'm actually very happy to hear this. Discriminating against ANYONE is flat out WRONG. But that's not what this issue is about. What the mayor is saying is that their policy of discrimination violates a city law that allows them to use the city building for free. Just pay the rent or GET OUT! I fully back the mayor and Mr. Diaz. I don't want MY tax dollars used to ease the financial burden of a group that discriminates against ANYONE - black, white, gay, straight!

I am offended that the Scouts PROTECTED 1rst Amendment rights are being reported as "discrimination" when the Supreme Court has upheld their right to self identify "what is a Scout". This crime ridden city needs the good work of the Scouts, and would be retaliating and abusive against the Scouts for turning their backs on the almost 80 year relationship the Scouts have had and contributed for this area. Reverse discrimination IS discrimination!

Seems a reasonable ultimatum. Ease the burden on tax payers and pay your rent like everyone else, or drag your discriminatory policies into the 21st Century. I've no problem with this.
