Herm is not only a soft bleeding heart RACIST coach, he is a media showboat and dumb as a box of rocks. Good O-line equals offensive performance, peyton Manning would suck playing with our current line and lame receivers that drop passes more than they catch them. Mike Solari, needs to go as well, these 2 yard pass plays are BS. vertical dipstick, screen plays when they are blitzing, quick 5-7 yard slants. The Patriots run it simple like that, take what they give, not re-invent things for the sake of being complexed to try and look like your a genius. Solari you are 100% lame.

The Chiefs dismal season would have been no different with or without LJ. Most real professionals would have been back in the lineup by now or out for the season. LJ doesn't want to play and hopefully the Chiefs will be smart enough to trade him. Needless to say, his stock has dropped this year. And when the season is over if you will not fire Herm then definitely every coach on the offensive side of the ball needs to go. And, are we the only team in the NFL that can't find a kicker or a kick and punt return man? I have not doubt that the Chiefs have as much talent as anyone which tells me that coaching is the problem.

Roaf and Shields retired and it all starts up front, end of story... thats why were rebuilding and they better get the o-line fixed quickly

SteveQ:
I've heard too many people use the Roaf/Shields leaving excuse and it is LAME. Roaf retired LAST YEAR and Shields originally planned to but was talked out of it by Roaf. If the Worm were a good coach -- a forward thinker, if you will -- he would've started building a new O-line LAST YEAR. There is no excuse for the O-line not being rebuilt and ready, it should've been taken care of before last season ended.

And to those who love to bash Vermile by saying his teams weren't tough, his teams WON and the Worm's don't. With the logic you guys use "Sugar" Ray Robinson isn't as tough a fighter as, oh I don't know . . . say "Hurricane" Peter McNeeley because Robinson was a middle weight and only won 175 fights and McNeely won 47 as a heavy weight (only ever beating bums). Not to say that the Worm is half the fighter that McNeely is -- he isn't.

Last Sunday they posted the five teams with the highest average age. I figured the Chief's would be in the middle with the youth movement, but no they were #4 if I recall correctly. Hmmmm....is anyone home?

Wake up!! Herm was handed a mess, but he has too much integrity to blame #### V. plus he likes grandpa ####.

Give Herm a fair chance.... .ever heard of the term delayed-gratification? Be a better fan than the 'microwave' fan who wants it now. I realize its been a long time and who has had their chance? The KING...19 years is long enough.

Trade LJ to the pats or raiders for number one pick. We draft 2 O-line men early in the draft. trade up to get colt brennan. what ever remains from our picks start to draft to repair our aging secondary.

hey cardinal_jo-
what did vermiel's teams win? i may be wrong but they went to the playoffs one time with him (same as herm) and lost the first game they played when the got there (same as herm). i think you forget how bad the defense was under vermiel leaving herm with the choice of rebuilding the defense through the draft and trying to get a couple years out of a makeshift offensive line or build the line and continue to be atrocious on defense. it has nothing to do with herm's forward thinking, it has everything to do with vermiel's unwillingness to build a team for long term success instead of just a 5 year window where they can score a lot of points and get beaten 40-39 all the time. vermiel's records were 6-10, 8-8, 13-3, 9-7, 10-6 with one playoff berth and the oldest team in the nfl with the cupboards bare for the future. get your facts strait
