THE CITY SHOULD PASS A LAW REQUIRING ALL PET OWNERS TO NEUTER THEIR PETS. IF THEY CHOOSE NOT TO NEUTER, THEN THEY MUST BE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN A BREEDER'S LICENSE... $500 PER YEAR.

THIS WILL QUICLKY STOP THE PROBLEM OF PET OVERPOPULATION!!!!

A little history knowledge might be helpful here, such as the fact one of the major reason for the black death that kill one third of the human race were the anti-cat stand of the church during the middle ages.

My nice middle class townhouse area have a rat problem that my neighbors had been complainig of and yet I don't for some reason.

In ten years three rats had been stupid enough to get into my home and my cats was overjoy about that fact.

The problem is not feeding them, it's people who don't spay and neuter and then dump the cats in "good neighborhoods" where they are killed by cars, other animals, and hunger. People who hurt animals are people who are very likely to hurt people.
I will continue to feed stray animals even if it is against the law. They are creatures of God and mother nature--- we should take care of them. Those that have a problem with needing a homeless cat are just cruel, mean people.

Feeding them is not a problem is when they multiply. What is the county going to do about it? When I call animal control to pick up stray cats or dogs they claim that the animal has to be trapped by me,yes by the good citizen that is pointing them the problem. They are the ones with the training and the state resources so they have to provide alternatives fo for the concerned citizens.

While I?m sure that this proposed animal code ordinance isn't exactly perfect I think it?s a damn good start! I am so sick of seeing the tons of stray animals particularly cats in the area.

While some feel that feeding and fixing these strays is humane the "right thing to do" is it really "right" to feed them and let them fend for themselves? By doing a half as*ed job? You?re not doing the cats or your neighbors any favors.

These stray cats are mean and quite aggressive. And the minute someone isn't there to feed them they just might attack. One stray cat in the North Miami area attacked my nephew while he was walking in front of our home. He had food in his hand and apparently the cat was hungry.

So before saying that they are of no harm to anyone think about that. They might feel threatened and attack someone that didn't even see them! They are a danger and they ruin property.

Bottom line: if you feel compelled to feed the strays then keep the strays.
