Comments

This is animal neglect/cruelty. How dare to stop feeding the poor cats when they have become dependant to be fed. They do no harm and they will starve to death! This is animal neglect! Our government should focus on crime and bad people not the good people that make a difference in this world.

If every neighbor would pitch in to help and gather to help with money to spay/neuter it would be a difference story. People instead of complaining should help. We can control the cat population and disease and feed the animals after cleaning up. We can make a big difference.

DON?T PUNISH THE ANIMALS, PUNISH the thieves, the complainers not the good people in this world!

This is Horrific. We live in United States of America this is not a third world! letting our animals starve to death! Good people that spend there time and money fixing and feeding these adorable felines. The governor should teach the community to love them instead teaching everyone and our childrens to be cruel.
This is animal neglection.! Don't punish our animals! becauise ignorant people complaint ! Teach them to be better and to have a heart!

It all starts and ends with a subsidized spay/neuter program for feral cats. The community should focus their resources on offering assistance to those volunteers that care for these cat colonies. Feral cat lovers try to capture and fix the cats. It is an expensive and laborious task, one that cannot keep pace at which they multiply.

Fining is not the answer. Helping to control the feral population through a spay/neuter program would be a good start.

It's time to get rid of feral cats.

They destroy lots of the natural wildlife in the area. Cats are not part of the natural wildlife and need to be removed becasue of the destruction they cause.

They can also spread disease - especially rabies.

It's about time the city got control of these animal kooks to make them more responsible for their pets.

Pets, especially feral cats are a big problem in our town.

TIME TO CLAMP DOWN!!!

IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE PETS STARVE TO DEATH, HAVE YOUR PET SPAYED/NEUTERED!!!

ALSO, LIMIT THE NUMBER OF PETS TO 2 PER HOUSEHOLD.
WHY DOES ANYONE NEED MORE THAN 2 ANIMALS IN THEIR HOUSE?

TAXPAYERS ARE TIRED OF PAYING FOR YOUR OUT-OF-CONTROL HOBBY. UNWANTED PETS ARE DUMPED IN THE STREET DAILY.

THE CITY SHOULD PASS A LAW REQUIRING ALL PET OWNERS TO NEUTER THEIR PETS. IF THEY CHOOSE NOT TO NEUTER, THEN THEY MUST BE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN A BREEDER'S LICENSE... $500 PER YEAR.

THIS WILL QUICLKY STOP THE PROBLEM OF PET OVERPOPULATION!!!!

FERAL CAT COLONIES DON'T WORK. FERAL CATS NEED TO BE TAKEN TO THE SHELTER AND DISPOSED. PEOPLE IN THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES LIVE IN SQUALOR. iN THE U.S. WE HAVE HEALTH CODES THAT PREVENT THESE CONDITIONS. PET OWNERS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO GET A PASS AND ENDANGER OTHERS!!!!

I would guess all you cats haters would perfer to have rats setting on top of your cars!

A little history knowledge might be helpful here, such as the fact one of the major reason for the black death that kill one third of the human race were the anti-cat stand of the church during the middle ages.

My nice middle class townhouse area have a rat problem that my neighbors had been complainig of and yet I don't for some reason.

In ten years three rats had been stupid enough to get into my home and my cats was overjoy about that fact.

The problem is not feeding them, it's people who don't spay and neuter and then dump the cats in "good neighborhoods" where they are killed by cars, other animals, and hunger. People who hurt animals are people who are very likely to hurt people.
I will continue to feed stray animals even if it is against the law. They are creatures of God and mother nature--- we should take care of them. Those that have a problem with needing a homeless cat are just cruel, mean people.

Feeding them is not a problem is when they multiply. What is the county going to do about it? When I call animal control to pick up stray cats or dogs they claim that the animal has to be trapped by me,yes by the good citizen that is pointing them the problem. They are the ones with the training and the state resources so they have to provide alternatives fo for the concerned citizens.

While I?m sure that this proposed animal code ordinance isn't exactly perfect I think it?s a damn good start! I am so sick of seeing the tons of stray animals particularly cats in the area.

While some feel that feeding and fixing these strays is humane the "right thing to do" is it really "right" to feed them and let them fend for themselves? By doing a half as*ed job? You?re not doing the cats or your neighbors any favors.

These stray cats are mean and quite aggressive. And the minute someone isn't there to feed them they just might attack. One stray cat in the North Miami area attacked my nephew while he was walking in front of our home. He had food in his hand and apparently the cat was hungry.

So before saying that they are of no harm to anyone think about that. They might feel threatened and attack someone that didn't even see them! They are a danger and they ruin property.

Bottom line: if you feel compelled to feed the strays then keep the strays.

To the person calling the Cats Cuban and wanting to deport them. You are a moron. You have nothing to offer this discussion just pick on the Cubans. What is the purpose? The cats are not from Cuba they are N. Miami cats.

Human race is definitely a humongous disgrace, I wish I was born Neptunian or Saturnian or some other extraterrestrial race, I am sure they are
kinder beings, and Hatred and Racism are unknown to them. Hell with the Human Race!

All of you are ignorant YOU COMPLAINERS!!! Learn and be open... it's our job the neighbors to love for those animals and us that comes out of our pocket to trap and spay/neuter. You all just wine about it but what do you do? just sit down and do nothing. Get together with someone that does feed the cats and spays them that's the way to control them. And animals yes can be tamed, if they have contact with humans they can be the most loving creatures on earth. But people like you that just chase them away, of course they will hide and hiss at you. LOVE ANIMALS, LOVE NATURE, you guys complainers should be fined!

In south florida, cars not in garages are exposed to all kinds of elements that do harm. Salt air and water are number one. I can't believe all these people with cars they love so much cannot afford something so simple and cheap as a car cover.

Car Covers are impractical in most of Coastal Florida due to high wind they blow off in a short time. Not to mention, our Strong UV rays destroy them in short order. Cats are uninvited guests in our Parking areas, Elements such as wind and Sun are not. This is a Private Parking area also not a Public Area so No to Cats, Roosters ect
