Isn't it funny that awhile back, the African-Americans were afraid of the samething from us whites. Now the Afr...Am.. are doing the samething to the Mexicans. There seems to be sometype of correlation here.

As I sit down to pay my property taxes this year I note that the biggest percentage goes to the school tax.Beyond the normal costs associated with educating our population we now are paying tens of thousands of dollars for added security in some schools with high Mexican immigrant populations. Can anyone say that Lexingtons' Sanctuary City status is not costing us all dearly. Thanks City Government!

Is the number of fights in a school generally inversely proportional to the average socio-economic level of the families attending the school?

What an absolutely disgusting display of political correctness. Are the parents that are complaining legal citizens of this country? Are their children? I DO know what the Latino Outreach program is. That is where an illegal alien in this country can apply to get federal and state financial assistance. It is NOT available to white or black AMERICAN'S. Interventions and solutions? I have both. It is called deportation for illegal aliens. Then our AMERICAN children don't have to change the way they think and talk just to please a group of people that shouldn't be here in the first place. As this article shows, this problem of pandering to special interest groups is getting worse, not better. Worse yet, the group being pandered to in this case supposedly have no rights in this country to begin with. Right. This group has more rights than your AMERICAN child.

I am afraid that this situation at BSHS may just be the tip of the iceberg. As our economy begins to weaken and all Americans begin to feel the pinch, tensions between Hispanics and the rest of the country will most likely increase. Americans that are struggling to achieve the "American Dream" will undoubtedly resent and possibly lash out against Hispanics they feel have no right government services or even being here. And although violence is never acceptable, who can fault the average middle class American from harboring some resentment. Demonstrations and posts on the HL website are indicative of how many Americans feel regarding our country and city's immigration issue. Without Government action (which we all no isn't coming) the citizens of Lexington and other cities across the country will become more frustrated and begin to act on thier own. If things do not change it will most likely get worse before it gets better. That is unless our elected officials act in a just manner, obey those that they have been sworn to serve and take serious measures to stop the flow of illegal immigrants coming into our city and remove those that currently reside here.

Well, it's pretty obvious where the kids get their hateful attitudes that lead them to fight. These same good Christians seem to forget that us european descendants took this country by genocide. We have no more right to it than any other foreigner, and less right to it than native Americans. This is not about political correctness. It's about survival. Hispanics are here to stay, so face reality and focus your energy on how we can all coexist peacefully.
